Karnataka Unveils Mega Development Push: Convention Complex, Industrial Parks & Incentives

• CM Siddaramaiah announced a world-class convention complex on 21-acre Mysore Lamp Works land in Bengaluru's Malleshwaram, to be developed under a PPP model.
• New Industrial Policy 2025-30 offers additional incentives (3-5%) for industries in backward regions, alongside a unified portal for 100+ services to boost ease of doing business.
• Major infrastructure projects include a vehicle scrapping facility in Chikkaballapur, an advanced testing facility in Mandya (Rs 500 crore), and an aerospace common facility center.
• Plans include a 1,000-acre industrial park in Belagavi, an aerospace park near Mysuru airport, and the Dharwad Industrial Node attracting Rs 30,000 crore investment.
• The state will establish 10 new MSME clusters and develop two new industrial estates in Muddebihal and Kampli, allocating 1,500 industrial plots.
