Axis Mutual Fund Elevates R Sivakumar to CIO, Ashish Gupta Departs
•Axis Asset Management Company (AMC) appointed R Sivakumar as Chief Investment Officer (CIO), effective March 5, as part of its internal succession plan.
•Sivakumar will lead investment strategy, new fund ideas, strengthen research processes, and guide investment teams for Axis Mutual Fund's long-term growth.
•The elevation follows CIO Ashish Gupta's decision to pursue other professional and personal interests; Axis AMC thanked Gupta for his contributions.
•A veteran with over 25 years of experience, Sivakumar has been with Axis AMC since its 2009 inception, previously serving as Head of Products and Corporate Strategy and Head of Fixed Income for 14 years.
