Rajasthan's 145-Year-Old Abu Road Station Gets Rs 81.51 Cr High-Tech Makeover

The 145-year-old Abu Road railway station in Mount Abu is set for a Rs 81.51 crore redevelopment.

Ministry of Railways sanctioned the amount for the Ajmer division station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

Established in 1880, the station has a rich history, now serving major trains like Rajdhani, Shatabdi, and Vande Bharat.
•
Crucial for tourism to Mount Abu and access to religious sites like Ambaji Temple, Pavapuri, and Brahma Kumaris HQ.
•
Out of the total, Rs 74.87 crore will be spent on construction; 15 stations in Ajmer division are undergoing redevelopment.
