Mumbai Property Registrations Soar 8% in February, Mid-Premium Segment Leads Growth

Mumbai recorded 13,029 property registrations in February, an 8% year-on-year increase and 16% jump over January.
•
The state government collected Rs 1,134 crore in stamp duty, up 21% from last year and 12% from January.
•
Residential registrations accounted for 80% of the total, with the Rs 1 crore to Rs 5 crore segment making up 48% of residential sales.
•
Developers are focusing on mid-premium segments in areas like Borivali, Dahisar, Goregaon, Bhandup, Mulund, and Ghatkopar, driven by end-user demand.
•
The mid-to-premium segments are now the central engines of demand, as buyers balance aspiration with affordability for long-term ownership.
