Karnataka Budget 2026: Rs 14,700 Cr Boost for EV, Energy, Infra Projects

•1,250 EV charging stations under PM-E Drive scheme at Rs 777 crore to accelerate EV adoption.
•Additional 2,000 MWh BESS capacity at Huliyur, Pavagada, Kushtagi substations for Rs 3,400 crore to strengthen grid stability.
•"Mukhya Mantri Saura Krishi Yojane" to commission 3,000 MW solar plants at KPTCL substations for Rs 10,500 crore.
•New facilities include a vehicle scrapping unit in Chikkaballapur and an advanced testing facility in Mandya with ARAI.
•Aerospace common facility at KIADB Aerospace Park and a renewable energy incubation centre with IIM Bangalore, IISc, UNSW.
