Assam Voter List Update: 2.43 Lakh Names Dropped Ahead of 2026 Assembly Polls

•Assam's final voter list for the 2026 special revision (SR) has been released by the Election Commission.
•A total of 2,43,485 voters were removed from the draft list, resulting in a 0.97% decline.
•The final list includes 2,49,58,139 voters across all 126 Assembly constituencies.
•The updated electoral roll comprises nearly 1.25 crore men, 1.24 crore women, and 343 third gender voters.
•The draft list, published on December 27 last year, initially recorded 2,52,01,624 voters.
