Eastern Railway Completes Baharampur Court Station Yard Modification, Boosts Capacity
•Eastern Railway successfully completed a significant yard modification project at Baharampur Court Station, Sealdah Division.
•The project, guided by GM Shri Milind Deouskar and led by DRM Shri Rajiv Saxena, was finished on time with minimal disruption.
•Key upgrades include three new Common Loop Lines, increased loop line lengths, and operational routes expanded from 25 to 50, enhancing capacity and flexibility.
•New Electronic Interlocking, Dual VDUs, MSDAC systems, and 11 new point machines improve safety and operational efficiency.
•Passengers benefit from reduced platform crowding with new island platforms, fewer delays due to simultaneous train movements, and improved punctuality.
