Assembly Election 2026: 4 Lakh Names Canceled in First Supplementary List

• Approximately 4 lakh names out of 10 lakh were canceled in the first phase supplementary list for Assembly Election 2026.
• Lists for only about 40,000 out of over 80,000 booths across the state have been published in the first phase.
• Chief Electoral Officer issued a strict directive: no contractual staff for election duties.
• District Magistrates instructed to prepare separate lists of central and state government employees for polling staff.
• Election Commission will publish new supplementary lists daily based on reports received by 5 PM, using special software.
