Kolkata Earthquake: Newly Built Road Cracks, Landslide in Behala After 5.5 Magnitude Tremor

A 5.5 magnitude earthquake struck Kolkata and neighboring districts on Friday afternoon.
•
A newly paved road in Behala's Parnasree area developed a huge crack and a landslide occurred.
•
The affected road is in Manna Para, Sagar Manna Road area, Ward No. 132 of Behala Parnasree.
•
The earthquake's epicenter was near Khulna, Bangladesh, approximately 90 km from Kolkata.
•
The USGS reported the epicenter 26 kilometers southeast of Taki, West Bengal, at a depth of 9.8 kilometers.
