Kolkata rocked by 5.5 magnitude earthquake, second tremor in two days

•Kolkata and surrounding districts experienced a 5.5 magnitude earthquake on Friday around 1:23 PM.
•The epicenter of the earthquake was near Khulna in Bangladesh.
•This follows a mild earthquake in North Bengal (Siliguri, Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling) yesterday, with its epicenter in Sikkim (4.6 magnitude).
•Tremors were also felt in Barrackpore industrial area and Bankura today.
•Panic spread in Kolkata, with people evacuating buildings and houses in North Kolkata reportedly tilting.
