Railway Minister Unveils Secret Plan to Fortify Border Against Pakistan

• Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced a strategic plan to extend train lines to border points, strengthening infrastructure and connectivity.
• The initiative aims to deter Pakistan from crossing the border and neutralize terrorists approaching the area.
• Projects include survey work for Baramulla-Uri, Qazigund-Badgam, and Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch connectivity in J&K.
• Indian Railways is also improving logistics along the India-Pakistan border in northern and western regions, including Anupgarh-Khajuwala and Jaisalmer-Barmer-Bhildi.
• New railway tracks like Anupgarh-Bikaner (187 km, Rs 2277 crore) and Jaisalmer-Bhabhar via Barmer (380 km) are under development, significantly reducing army and supply transit times to the border.
