Hyderabad Metro Boosts Green Energy with New 1.2 MW Solar Plant at Uppal Depot

• L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited inaugurated a new 1.2 MW solar power plant at Uppal Depot.
• The plant was formally opened by DVS Raju, Chief Electrical Inspector to the Government of India (CEIG).
• Built on a RESCO model, this addition increases Hyderabad Metro's total solar capacity to 12.41 MW.
• Solar power now accounts for approximately 16% of the metro's total electricity consumption, up from 14%.
• DVS Raju commended the metro's environmental protection efforts and inspected technical systems for train services.
