Telangana Cabinet Approves Key Reforms: Metro Takeover, Employee Welfare, Health

• Telangana Cabinet, led by CM Revanth Reddy, approved major decisions on employee welfare, health, Hyderabad development, and land allotments.
• Government to implement free accident insurance (Rs 1.2 crore for accidental death, Rs 10 lakh for natural death under 60) and a cashless health scheme for 17.07 lakh employees and pensioners.
• Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-1 (69 km) to be fully taken over from L&T for approximately Rs 15,000 crore to facilitate Phase-2 expansion.
• Medical sector reforms include transforming TVVP into Directorate of Secondary Health Care and forming a committee for hospital management.
• HMDA jurisdiction expanded, 300 km of roads to be developed, and key land allotments made for logistics, education, and religious institutions.
