PM Modi's Adopted Village Aims for World Record with 3 Lakh Saplings

Varanasi Municipal Corporation plans to plant over 3 lakh saplings on 350 bighas in Domri village on March 1.
•
The goal is to set a Guinness World Record by planting saplings in one hour, creating an 'urban forest'.
•
The 'Namo Upvan' will use Japan's Miyawaki technique, aiming to clean Varanasi's air and boost eco-tourism.
•
The project is expected to generate 2 crore rupees annually for the Municipal Corporation from the third year, rising to 7 crore by the seventh year.
•
27 types of plants, including medicinal varieties and flood-resistant trees like shisham and arjun, will be planted.
