• Balurghat District Hospital in South Dinajpur secured first place in Bengal for the fourth consecutive time under the central government's 'Susri Kayakalpa' project.
• The hospital achieved the top position by scoring 96%, outperforming all other district hospitals in the state.
• Superintendent Krishnendu Bikash Bag expressed increased commitment despite challenges, following this recognition.
• Despite the achievement, the hospital is yet to receive 25 lakh rupees from last year's prize money.
• This year, 50 lakh rupees have been allocated as prize money, which will be used for infrastructure development and patient services.
