AP to Launch NTR Vidya Lakshmi, Kalyana Lakshmi: ₹1 Lakh Loans for Women

• Andhra Pradesh government is launching two new welfare schemes, NTR Vidya Lakshmi and NTR Kalyana Lakshmi, for women in DWCRA self-help groups.
• The NTR Vidya Lakshmi scheme provides loans of Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 1 lakh at low interest for the education of up to two children per woman.
• The NTR Kalyana Lakshmi scheme offers loans of Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 1 lakh at low interest for the marriage expenses of a DWCRA woman's daughter.
• Both schemes, implemented by SERP, offer loans through Stree Nidhi Bank with a 48-installment repayment period and are expected to launch within 10 days.
• A key benefit of both schemes is that the loan is waived if the borrower dies in an accident.
