Bank Holidays: Week-long closures from Jan 12-18 in several states; check your region!

- •From January 12 to 18, banks in various states will observe consecutive holidays due to festivals and local traditions.
- •January 12: Swami Vivekananda Jayanti holiday in West Bengal; banks in other states remain open.
- •January 14: Makar Sankranti/Magh Bihu holidays in Gujarat, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, and Assam.
- •January 15: Sankranti/Pongal/Makara Sankramana/Maghe Sankranti holidays in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Sikkim.
- •Tamil Nadu faces extended closures: Jan 16 (Thiruvalluvar Day), Jan 17 (Uzhavar Thirunal), followed by Jan 18 (Sunday).
