MDH, started in Sialkot in 1919, became India's largest spice brand with a net worth in crores after Mahashay Dharampal Gulati moved to Delhi.
•
Giani di Hatti's ice cream and rabri falooda, initially sold in Lallpur, Pakistan, found fame in Delhi near Fatehpur Masjid.
•
Chaina Ram Sindhi Halwai, established in Lahore in 1901, and Madan Lal Halwai, from Lahore, became celebrated sweet shops in Old Delhi.
•
Havmor ice cream, launched in Karachi in 1944, was successfully restarted in India by Satish Chandra Chona's family.
•
Hamdard Rooh Afza, though often associated with Pakistan, originated in Delhi; a separate unit was established in Pakistan post-partition.
