Telangana: 4 Railway Stations Get Airport-Style Upgrade; Funding Soars

•Four railway stations in Telangana, including Mahabubnagar, Jadcherla, Gadwal, and Jogulamba, are set for airport-style upgrades.
•Railway funding for Telangana has surged nearly six times, from an average of Rs 886 crore (2009-2014) to Rs 5,454 crore in 2026-27.
•Indian Railways is undertaking projects worth Rs 47,984 crore across the state for new lines, station upgrades, and safety.
•Mahabubnagar Railway Station, nearly 100 years old, will be redeveloped with Rs 40 crore under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
•Jadcherla (Rs 36.67 cr), Gadwal (Rs 42.82 cr), and Jogulamba (Rs 6.7 cr) stations will also receive significant funds for modern amenities.
