•The station's closure on March 12, 2004, caused immense hardship for residents of Komalbag, Hariganj, Nashipur, and other villages.
•Murshidabad MLA Gauri Shankar Ghosh and DRM Rajiv Sexena highlighted the benefits for 45,000 locals and tourists, boosting socio-economic development.
•Expected to be completed within a year, the reopening will ease commuting, enhance tourism, and potentially allow more trains like Humsafar Express and Sairang Express.
