Pune Traffic: Chakan-Talegaon to be Free from Congestion, Master Plan Ready, Deadline Set!

• MIDC approves a 437 crore rupee master plan to alleviate chronic traffic congestion in the Chakan-Talegaon industrial belt.
• The plan includes widening main roads, repairing internal roads, constructing service roads, and strengthening highway connections.
• Development of four to six-lane roads, separate lanes for heavy vehicles, and redesign of key intersections are part of the project.
• Modern signal systems, robust drainage, and potential flyovers/grade separators will be implemented.
• Work is set to begin soon with a target to complete before monsoon, promising reduced travel time, fuel savings, and lower pollution.
