•A 37-year-old woman from Rahatani, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune, was defrauded of ₹1.2 lakh.
•An acquaintance lured her with the promise of securing a MHADA apartment, exploiting her dream of owning a home.
•The accused took ₹1.2 lakh from the woman near a building in Kondhwa, claiming to finalize the MHADA flat.
•After receiving the money, the accused procrastinated and avoided the woman when she inquired about the flat.
•Kondhwa Police have registered a case of fraud, and further investigation is underway. Citizens are warned against such scams.
