BPCL-Sembcorp JV Secures Green Hydrogen Deal with Numaligarh Refinery

• NeuEN Green Energy Pvt. Ltd, a 50:50 JV of BPCL and Sembcorp, will supply 10,000 tonnes per annum (10KTPA) of green hydrogen to Numaligarh Refinery Ltd (NRL).
• NeuEN will develop a green hydrogen production facility at NRL’s refinery in Assam, supported by a long-term offtake arrangement.
• The project is expected to begin commercial operations in 2028, integrating renewable energy with advanced storage for reliable, round-the-clock operations.
• BPCL Chairman & Managing Director, Sanjay Khanna, highlighted the project as a significant milestone in BPCL’s journey towards a resilient energy portfolio and clean energy solutions.
• Sembcorp President & CEO, Vipul Tuli, emphasized the project's role in advancing India’s green hydrogen ambitions and Sembcorp’s strategy for a lower carbon energy future.
