Captive, Commercial Coal Production Hits 20.49 MT in February

•Captive and commercial coal mines produced 20.49 million tonnes (MT) of coal in February.
•Dispatches from these mines reached 17.72 MT during the same month.
•Cumulative coal production for FY25-26 (up to February) grew by 11.58% year-on-year to 187.16 MT.
•Cumulative dispatches till February increased by 6.78% to 184.47 MT compared to the previous year.
•The Ministry of Coal attributes improved performance to strategic policies, rigorous monitoring, and stakeholder support.

NMDC Reports 16% Jump in February Iron Ore Production and Sales

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ), through its subsidiary Adani Gangavaram Port Ltd, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with NMDC Ltd and Vale SA to develop an integrated iron ore blending facility and dedicated Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Gangavaram Port. The MoU was signed at the India-Brazil Business Forum Summit in New Delhi during the official visit of Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, the company said in a statement.
