Delhi to Scrap End-of-Life Vehicles Found on Roads, New Enforcement Drive Soon

• Delhi Transport Department to impound and scrap End-of-Life Vehicles (EOV) found on city roads without prior notice.
• The initiative aims to strictly enforce air pollution norms in the national capital.
• EOVs include diesel vehicles older than 10 years and petrol vehicles older than 15 years.
• Owners of such vehicles are advised to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to transfer them outside the NCR.
• A fresh enforcement drive will be launched soon to remove old vehicles from Delhi.
