India's Gems, Jewellery Exports Jump 3.86% in Feb; Diversification Pays Off

•India's gems and jewellery exports rose 3.86% year-on-year to USD 2,680.79 million in February.
•The growth is attributed to the industry's diversification into new markets like UAE and Australia, leveraging free trade agreements.
•Silver jewellery exports saw a significant surge of 123.77% to USD 116.37 million in February.
•Overall exports from April 2025 to February 2026 remained almost flat at USD 25,933.72 million.
•GJEPC Chairman Kirit Bhansali noted resilience despite challenges like US tariff policies and geopolitical uncertainties.
