Kerala Police Arrest 1,663 in Statewide 'Operation Round Up' Drive

• Kerala Police arrested 1,663 individuals in a statewide special drive called 'Operation Round Up' from February 12 to 14.
• The operation aimed to ensure public order and safety by tracking down rowdies, habitual offenders, thieves, and absconders.
• Among those arrested, 691 were involved in grave criminal offenses, and 972 were absconding accused.
• Preventive action was initiated against 1,028 persons under BNSS Sections 126 and 129.
• Additionally, 20 persons were detained under KAAPA, externment proceedings began for 30, and 1,354 cases were registered for drunk driving.
