Nara Lokesh Hails 6-Lane Road to Machilipatnam Port, Unlocking Economic Opportunities

• Andhra Minister Nara Lokesh praised the 6-lane external connectivity road to Machilipatnam Port, calling it a key to new economic opportunities for the state.
• The project, costing Rs 573.77 crore, was approved by the Ministry of Road Transport and Railways, led by Nitin Gadkari.
• The road will link the junction of NH-65 and NH-216 to Machilipatnam Port via the Machilipatnam bypass section of NH-216.
• Union Minister Nitin Gadkari highlighted benefits like seamless connectivity, reduced freight turnaround time, eased traffic congestion, and enhanced logistics efficiency.
• The project includes a 6-lane main carriageway, service roads, 3 flyovers, and an overpass-cum-railway overbridge (ROB).
