Odisha Man Gets 20 Years RI for Raping Minor, Court Orders Rs 8 Lakh Compensation

•A court in Kendrapara, Odisha, sentenced a man to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment for raping a minor girl.
•The rape resulted in the victim's pregnancy.
•The POCSO court also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on the 53-year-old convict.
•Non-payment of the fine will extend the jail term by one year.
•The Odisha State Legal Services Authority (OSLSA) was directed to pay Rs 8 lakh compensation to the victim.
