Tata Power's 4,150 MW Mundra Plant Resumes Operations After 9-Month Halt
•
Tata Power has restarted operations at its 4,150 MW Mundra thermal plant after a nine-month suspension.
•
The plant had ceased operations on July 2, 2025, leading to significant losses for the company.
•
Resumption follows the signing of supplementary power purchase agreements (PPAs) with GUVNL (Gujarat) and other states.
•
The 4,000 MW Mundra Ultra Mega Power Project supplies electricity to Gujarat, Maharashtra, Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan.
•
CGPL, which operates the plant, has been directed to run at full capacity from April 1 to June 30, 2026, to meet peak summer demand.
