Maruti Suzuki Ships Record 5.85 Lakh Cars by Train in 2025, Boosts Green Logistics

•Maruti Suzuki dispatched over 5.85 lakh vehicles via railways in 2025, an 18% increase over 2024 and its highest-ever annual rail dispatch.
•The share of rail in total vehicle dispatches rose to about 26% in 2025, up from 5.1% in 2016, with volumes growing over 7.5 times.
•Rail transport helped avoid 87,904 metric tonnes of CO2e emissions and saved over 687 lakh litres of fuel.
•Key green logistics initiatives include India's largest automobile in-plant railway siding at Manesar and first-ever rail dispatch to Kashmir valley via Chenab bridge.
•Maruti Suzuki aims to increase rail-based vehicle dispatches to 35% by FY31, supporting India's net-zero ambition.
