Metro Users Rejoice: BMRCL Plans Organized Parking at 9 High-Footfall Stations

BMRCL floats tender for professional operators to manage parking at nine high-traffic Namma Metro stations.

Aims to address persistent complaints about insufficient parking, reducing congestion and improving commuter amenities.
•
Stations include Mysuru Road, J.P. Nagar, Baiyappanahalli, BTM Layout, and Electronic City-01, covering 20,245 sq meters.
•
Facilities can accommodate 3,248 two-wheelers, 412 cars; standardized fees: Rs 15/30 for two-wheelers, Rs 30/60 for cars.
•
Contractors must install lighting, CCTV, computerized ticketing, and fire safety; police verification for staff is mandatory.
