INS Anjadip Commissioned: India's New 'Dolphin Hunter' Boosts Coastal Defense

INS Anjadip, the third of eight Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Crafts, was commissioned at Chennai Port.

Built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers, Kolkata, it's designed for littoral combat and coastal security.
•
The 77-meter vessel features a high-speed water-jet propulsion system, reaching 25 knots for rapid response.
•
Engineered as a 'Dolphin Hunter,' it detects, tracks, and neutralizes enemy submarines in coastal areas.
•
Equipped with indigenous ASW weapons and sensors, including hull-mounted sonar Abhay, Lightweight Torpedoes, and ASW Rockets.
