India's First Bullet Train B28 Set for 2027 Launch: All You Need to Know

• India's first indigenous bullet train, B28, is expected to be ready by March 2027, marking a major leap in high-speed rail travel.
• Developed by BEML in Bengaluru, the B28 is designed for a top speed of 280 km/h, with initial operations at 250 km/h.
• The B28 will first run on the 97-kilometre Surat-Vapi section of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) corridor.
• Each B28 trainset will feature eight fully air-conditioned cars with amenities like reclining seats, infotainment, and accessibility provisions.
