GAIL Invests ₹1,736 Crore in New Maharashtra Wind Power Project

•GAIL's board approved a ₹1,736.25 crore investment for a 178.2 MW greenfield wind power project in Maharashtra.
•The new capacity will be added over 24 months, significantly expanding GAIL's renewable energy portfolio.
•This project will increase GAIL's alternative energy capacity beyond its current 145 MW (118 MW wind, 27 MW solar).
•The investment supports GAIL's business growth and aligns with broader strategic developments, including a JV with NTPC Green Energy Ltd.
•GAIL's Q3 FY26 revenue declined 2.7% to ₹34,075.8 crore, and EBITDA fell 17% to ₹2,655.2 crore.
