Burhanpur Woman Turns Mother-in-Law's 1968 Mill into Success, Secures Kids' MNC Jobs

•Sangeeta O.P. Gupta of Burhanpur expanded her mother-in-law Shivkali Bai Gupta's 1968 flour mill business.
•She started operating the mill during a 2008 curfew, driven by the dream of educating her children.
•Her three children, Priyanka Gupta, Ankita Gupta, and Abhishek Gupta, are now successful professionals in multinational companies.
•Priyanka is an MBA, Ankita is a CS, CA, and LLB, and Abhishek is a software engineer.
•The flour mill, operating 10 AM-8 PM, earns 4-5 lakh rupees annually, with assistance from her husband O.P. Gupta.

बबीता कुमारी के उद्यमी बनने की शुरुआत 2018 में हुई. उन्होंने बैंक ऑफ बड़ौदा द्वारा संचालित ग्रामीण स्वरोजगार प्रशिक्षण संस्थान (R-SETI) और ‘जीविका’ के माध्यम से अगरबत्ती निर्माण का 20-25 दिनों का कड़ा प्रशिक्षण लिया. प्रशिक्षण के बाद सबसे बड़ी चुनौती पूंजी की थी. बबीता बताती हैं कि जब उन्होंने काम शुरू करने की ठानी, तो पास में फूटी कौड़ी नहीं थी. पति राम विनय कुमार ने अपनी बचत से महज 600 रुपये दिए. इन्हीं पैसों से बबीता ने कच्चा माल खरीदा और शुरुआत में अपने हाथों से अगरबत्ती बनाना शुरू किया. दिन भर की मेहनत के बाद भी हाथ से काम करने में मुनाफा कम था, लेकिन बबीता ने हार नहीं मानी.
