Bareilly Violence: Allahabad HC Rejects Plea to Quash FIRs, Cites Serious Allegations

Allahabad High Court rejected petitions by six accused seeking to quash FIRs in the Bareilly violence case.

Petitioners include Mohammad Sajid alias Sajid Saklani, Ashu, Ajmal Rafi, Mohammad Naeem Qureshi, Mohammad Moin, and Mohammad Faizan.

The FIR, registered by SHO Dhananjay Pandey, named 28 individuals and 200-250 unknown miscreants, alleging 'Sar tan se juda' slogans.
•
The court deemed the allegations very serious, requiring full investigation and custodial interrogation, calling it a case of large-scale violence.

Maulana Tauqeer Raza Khan has been named as the mastermind in the Bareilly violence that occurred on September 26, 2025.
