CBI busts bulk SIM card fraud, arrests 2 directors in Meerut

• CBI arrested two directors of a Meerut-based company for bulk SIM card fraud and facilitating SIM Box operations.
• Mohd Vilal and Mohd Dilshad were arrested after searches in Noida and Meerut.
• The company, incorporated in January 2025, allegedly obtained 108 SIM cards for cyber fraud, later flagged on NCRP and Chakshu.
• SIM cards were used to impersonate law enforcement and government officials, deceiving victims into transferring money.
• CBI seized electronic devices, documents, and SIM cards, including a Nepal SIM card, during searches.
