HDFC Bank Overhauls Debit Card Lounge Access: New Rules, Higher Spend From Today

  • HDFC Bank has changed its complimentary airport lounge access for debit cards, effective January 10.
  • Access now requires digital vouchers instead of physical card swipes, issued after meeting spending criteria.
  • Minimum quarterly spend for most cards has doubled from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000, excluding Infiniti Debit Card.
  • Vouchers are sent via SMS/email, require OTP verification, and are valid until the end of the next calendar quarter.
  • ATM withdrawals, UPI/wallet payments, credit card bill payments, and EMI transactions do not count towards the spend.

Why It Matters: HDFC Bank's new rules for debit card lounge access require higher spending and digital vouchers from today.
