Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway Nears Completion: Travel Time Drops to 35 Minutes

• The 63-kilometer, six-lane Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway, built at a cost of Rs 4,700 crore, is nearing completion.
• It will reduce travel time between Lucknow and Kanpur to approximately 35 minutes, a significant improvement from current hours-long commutes.
• The expressway features an 18-kilometer elevated stretch, allowing speeds of up to 120 km/h and bypassing city traffic jams.
• Vehicles are expected to start using the access-controlled route by April 2026.
