Kanpur to get 4-lane elevated corridor by 2028, easing travel to Lucknow, Delhi
- •A four-lane elevated corridor from Ramadevi to Gol Chauraha in Kanpur will transform city travel.
- •The 10.160-kilometer corridor will alleviate traffic jams for travelers heading to Lucknow, Delhi, Prayagraj, Banaras, Kannauj, and Farrukhabad.
- •Approximately 4.5 lakh vehicles pass daily through the route, causing severe congestion at major intersections.
- •Union Minister Nitin Gadkari sanctioned Rs 988.30 crore for the project, with a groundbreaking ceremony planned for March.
- •The corridor, expected to be completed by 2028, will directly benefit 50 lakh people by reducing travel time and improving connectivity.
