BHEL Secures ₹2,800 Crore Syngas Project from Coal India JV
- •Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) on February 10 for a ₹2,800 crore project from Bharat Coal Gasification and Chemicals Limited (BCGCL).
- •BCGCL is a joint venture between Coal India Limited (51% stake) and BHEL (49% stake).
- •The project involves a Syngas Purification Plant for BCGCL’s coal-to-ammonium nitrate project in Lakhanpur, Odisha.
- •BHEL will handle design, engineering, supply, civil works, erection, commissioning, and 60 months of operations and maintenance services.
- •The order is a related-party transaction executed at arm’s length, with preliminary acceptance scheduled within 42 months.
