Mumbai Metro 9 & 2B Set for Inauguration by PM Modi, Easing Traffic Woes
•
Mumbai Metro lines 9 and 2B are expected to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi between February 17 and 19.
•
Metro 9, an extension of Metro 7, will connect Dahisar to Kashigaon (4.4 km first phase) after receiving the CMRS certificate.
•
The first phase of Metro 2B (5.53 km) from Mandale to Diamond Garden has also received its certificate.
•
These new lines will provide metro facilities to eastern suburbs for the first time, enabling direct travel from Gundavali to Kashigaon.
•
The groundbreaking ceremony for the Podtaxi project between Bandra and Kurla railway stations is also anticipated, benefiting BKC commuters.
