MP's New Bypass: Bhopal-Kanpur Distance Cut by 21 Km, Traffic Relief in Sagar

• Garhpahara-Berkhedi Green Field Bypass in Sagar, MP, is 80% complete, set to open by April 2026.
• The 28-kilometer bypass will reduce the Bhopal-Kanpur distance by 21 kilometers and cut city travel time from 2 hours to 30 minutes.
• It will connect Sagar-Bhopal and Sagar-Kanpur National Highways, easing traffic in Moti Nagar, Bhagwanganj, Civil Line, and Makronia.
• The 52-kilometer ring road project, costing 885 crore, will link NH 44 and State Highways, benefiting over 200 villages.
• The bypass aims to mitigate frequent road accidents and traffic congestion caused by heavy vehicles passing through Sagar, a central hub.
