Malda's Pagla River Bridge Ends Decades of Suffering, Connects Villages to City in 20 Mins

• A new box bridge culvert over the Pagla River connects Kaliachak I and Kaliachak III Blocks in Malda district.
• The bridge, built between Kathalbari and Rajnagar, drastically reduces travel time for over ten villages to Malda city, Farakka, and hospitals.
• Commute time cut from over an hour to just 20-30 minutes, ending monsoon isolation and risky river crossings.
• Inaugurated by local MLA and Minister of State Sabina Yasmin, the project cost approximately 1 crore 44 lakh rupees.
